Our membership is growing in number. New members need to know who we are and what we do. I believe that those of us who have been members for a while have a responsibility to contribute copy to editor Ailsa. In my experience, The Easel has helped us grow. Let's grow larger in number, talent and interest. Allan
Items, articles, criticisms, gallery exhibition reports - Ailsa needs them. Get your stuff ready for the autumn issue asap.

The BAS Committee needs another member because there have been some retirements and a sudden death. Our honorary secretary, Chris., is now doing more than she should and the extra work needs to be the responsibility of someone else. Organising our exhibitions is a job in itself and Chris. would be pleased to pass on all that she has gained in experience, contacts and form letters (submission forms and information sheets) to a new committee member.
Joy at last! The 2013 Financial Report will be delivered to BAS members at the May meeting at Shortlands. Liz deserves our gratitude for the huge amount of time spent in balancing the books.
The first life drawing class, 26th of April, is drawing nearer. I am getting excited about it. People are already booking places which is gratifying. The models are booked as of course is the hall and further advertising is planned over the next two weeks.
Another good demonstration. To have a demonstrator who used a biggish brush was a joy. Technique was accomplished and we got what we were expecting. Next month we will be treated by Mr Dellar again. It seems a long time since he was with us last.
