We have a confirmed exhibition on the weekend of the 13-15 October at St Mary's, College Road Bromley. (Handing in 12 October/collection 15 October). I understand this has been a very successful venue in the past and we will be exhibiting alongside a number of musical events as well as the normal church services. Further details and handing in forms will follow in during September but I wanted to ensure everyone had as much notice as possible.
I thought it would be nice if members posted images directly into the forum.
Here's one from my imgur account, which I've just opened. It's free. You need to go to your images, click on the one you want to show and you'll see a ton of codes on the right. Choose the Direct Link, then here click on the image icon and paste the link. The resizing here doesn't work yet so images need to uploaded to imgur the size required. The below is 800 pixels which I tried to resize to 600. The only down is that it doesn't preserve the transparency on pngs or gifs.

Our exhibition in association with Marjorie McClure School

It would be lovely to see some familiar faces from BAS where more than 6000 works of fine, decorative and applied arts from around the world will be exhibited. It is a place where different cultures mix and new ideas are shared all in uplifiting surroundings and to the accompaniment of classical and jazz musicians.

The Bromley Branch of the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA) is holding its annual public lecture on 19/11/2016, under the title "Art Appreciation - Brush Up Your Shakespeare". To commemorate the 400th Anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare, this course looks at his artistic legacy as commemorated by composers and artists. Feedback from previous years has been positive.
I've been accepted to exhibit in a Contemporary Painting exhibition at the Brick Lane Gallery. I was just wondering if any of you have exhibited there and what you thought. I would have to pay for my space and I'm a little concerned that I might pay and not get much out of it. Any advice would be appreciated. Ideas of good places to exhibit or how to get work into a gallery.
Thank,
Steph
