Yes - we have two exhibitions on at the same time!

I am pleased to say that the BAS life classes held at Ripley Art centre will continue to run every Tuesday evening for the rest of the year.  The class has grown in numbers and  now occupies  the music room. Over the coming months we will be introducing new models both male and female and of course staying with many of our favourites. Remember, all materials are supplied and tuition is provided. The classes are drop in and the cost is £10.00 per session on the night. Beginners and the experienced are welcome. 

Bas will be exhibiting at Ripley Art Centre between 13th April and 23rd of May. Submission forms have gone out to all active members by email and by post. I hope as many of you will exhibit as possible. It is short notice of course, what else has changed ?. However exhibitions are an important opportunity to promote The society, our own work and the arts in general and I hope many of you will make the effort.

Handing in day will be the 12th of April between 10:30 AM and Noon

Collecting will be 24th of May between 09:00 and 10:30 AM.

Minutes of Annual General Meeting 5 February 2016

Students at Bromley Adult Education College report that Adult Education is changing in response to the Council's funding crisis. The emphasis will be more on the disadvantaged and unemployed, and less on leisure and recreational courses. Many Arts courses are seen in the latter group and the Widmore Centre may close altogether. There is, inevitably, to be public "consultation" via a web survey.

I am pleased to announce that BAS will be running a second life drawing class from Ripley this coming autumn. Classes start 19:00 hrs till 22:00 hrs on Tuesday the 6th of October and each Tuesday evening  untill the 24th of November. The summer class was well attended and produced some lovely drawings.  Everyone enjoyed themeselves and saw thier drawing skills improve a lot in just a few short weeks. So if you fancy getting your eye back in then here is your opportunity. It is a drop in class, all materials are supplied and the cost is £8.00 per session.

Just a quick note to let everyone know that BAS will be exhibiting at St Mary's Church, College road, Bromley,BR1 3QG on the 18th,19th and 20th of September. There will be quite a lot of activity in and around the church over this period and we are confident of a good turnout.
