[BAS Newsletter] Special August 7th Workshop

*Dear Members and friends,*

During August we traditionally take a break from our 1st Fridays but 
this year we have decided to put on a special workshop on Wednesday 7th 
August at St George's church hall, Bickley Park Road. The workshop will 
be provided by our own Nishad Karim. Nishad is a very talented and 
experienced art teacher and has provided many workshops to various 
groups. Many of you will know him as a member who has exhibited 
alongside us but you may have also seen his popular and engaging 
demonstrations.

This will be a Watercolour practical workshop that will appeal to a wide 
range of people either wanting to improve their skills or wishing to try 
their hand at watercolour. More details to follow but it will cover 
materials, colour theory, mixing and watercolour brush techniques. At 
the end of the day you will  have painted your own watercolour using 
techniques from the workshop.

Some materials will be provided but an additional list of inexpensive 
materials to bring along may be required. Many of you I suspect will 
already possess these.

The workshop will begin shortly after 10am and finish between 3.30 - 4pm 
with a 45min lunch break. There are good Kitchen facilities so tea, 
coffee, fruit juices and biscuits will be provided but your are welcome 
to bring your own additional refreshments.

The workshop is open to all members and friend of members so why not see 
if your friend to wants to join us?

St Georges Church Hall is a spacious hall with room to comfortably 
spread out, set in well kept grounds with a small patio area.  There is 
plenty of local parking and it is served well with local buses. Bickley 
train station is just a 5 - 10 min walk away.

I am hoping for around 20-25 people at a cost of £25.00 each for the 
day.  Now you know, please book your place if interested as soon as
