[BAS Newsletter] Anarchy in Art

Many artists over the years have promoted anarchy and deliberate
confusion as tools of their art and politics. No such deliberation
affects your committee, whose confusion is completely authentic.

We have had to make several changes of speaker during the course of this
year's programme and your chairman, amongst others, did not keep up. The
speaker we actually have coming is Jean Turton, who is going to
demonstrate use of the Chinese brush, probably with the title "Through
the Seasons". She was not sure when I spoke to her just now, which means
we shall have a good, spontaneous demonstration. Jean appears not to
have a website of her own, but if you search there are many
illustrations of her work on line, covering a wide variety of subjects.

If you have your original yellow programme card you will see that the
September demo was originally to be given on the same topic by another
lady with a superficially similar name. Unfortunately she died, which is
the cause of both our re-arrangements and confusion this month. I
believe she was a friend of Jean Turton's, so please get the name right
tonight.

I apologise for the previous misinformation  - and hope to see you later.

Adrian
