Dear Members and friends,
Thank you to those who have replied to my last newsletter below through
the membership at bromleyartsociety.org.uk email address.
Unfortunately this email account is experiencing problems and people are
reporting bounced messages when trying to reply. It seems that I am
receiving most of the email messages (if not all) despite the bounced
messages but I can not be sure.
I have set up an alternative email that behaves itself. Please use
membership.bromleyartsociety at gmail.com in future.
Kind regards,
Paul
Dear members and friends,
I hope you all had a fantastic August. There is quite a bit in this
newsletter where I need you to respond so please take the time to
read and get back to me.
Our normal Newsletter process has ceased functioning so this has
been sent direct to over 300 accounts individually from my members
email account so I apologise now for any hiccups in the process.

*_Pastel on velour workshop 18th September St George's Church Hall,
Bickley_*
Following the success of our watercolour workshop provided by Nishad
Karim we are planning a second workshop in September if people are
interested.
This workshop will be conducted by Lee Moore who has excellent
experience of teaching art within her own classes. Lee will be
showing one of her favourite techniques of how to create an animal
portrait using pastels on velour. Materials will be provided.
The workshop will commence at 10am on Wednesday the 18th September
and finish around 3.30 with a lunch break in between.
The cost will be £25.00 per person. Regular attendees of the
Wednesday Art Session's, who have already contributed for the hire
of the hall, need only pay £20 per person.
The workshop is open to all members and friends of members.
We need around 20 - 24 people to attend to make the workshop viable
so *please let me know if you are interested a.s.a.p but no later
than Tuesday 10th September.*
*_Future Exhibitions_*
Following the success of our St George's Church exhibition where
over £2500 of artwork was sold we now have an experienced exhibition
sub-committee who are working hard to find suitable venues for
exhibitions going forward. If you know of any venues, within Bromley
and neighbouring boroughs suitable for exhibiting please let us
know by contacting *bromleyartsocietyevents at gmail.com.* The
exhibition sub-committee will follow up and review all venues for
suitability.
*_Online Art Matters_*
Numbers has declined recently but if you are interested in seeing
this continued please let me know. We normally hold an online
discussion / art challenge, once a month, on a Friday evening
7pm-8pm. We probably need around 10 people to attend Art Matters
regularly to keep them worthwhile. Please let me know at
*membership at bromleyartsociety.org.uk*. If enough people are
interested our next Art Matters will be Friday 20th September on the
theme of "Summer 24".
*_November and December's 1st Friday events at the Daylight Inn._*
We have the room booked but at the moment we do not have anything
planned for 1st November or 6th December at the Daylight Inn. *If
you have any ideas particularly for the December Christmas event
please let me know at **membership at bromleyartsociety.org.uk*
Kind regards,
Paul*
