[BAS Newsletter] News update.

Dear members,

Firstly I would like to give you an update from Deborah on our 
exhibitions for later this year:

*Exhibition time. *

Some exhibition dates coming up, all in new venues and locations for us:

*Sunday 2nd July* - as part of the Gingham Goose craft fair at the 
Warren in Hayes a one day Exhibition and stall

*October* - we will be exhibiting at the Paxton Centre cafe in Anerley 
Hill  for the month of October (opposite Crystal Palace station)

*Sunday 3rd Decembe*r Part of the Gingham Goose Christmas Fair at the 
Warren in Hayes - a one day exhibition (tbc)  and stall

Detailed instructions for the event on 2nd July will be coming out very 
soon along with more info on the Pazton Centre but in the meantime 
please start getting prepared. Unlike some of our recent exhibitions 
there are no themes involved.

We are working on a few other locations so hopefully more to come.

*Open Day**12th July.*

Secondly I am pleased to say we are organising an open day and plein-air 
garden session for all members, friends and all those that may be 
interested at Ripley Studio and gardens on Wednesday 12th July. Further 
details to follow.

*Past Members Art*

Malcolm Tait. I am pleased that following last year's retrospective on 
Malcolm Tait's work we have been able to donate £153.15 to the RNLI and 
we have received the attached warm thank you letter from the RNLI. Thank 
you to everyone who contributed.

Jim Whiffen. Before my time but Jim Whiffen was apparently an active 
member of our society during the 1960s and 70s. A member of his family, 
Roger May, has contacted us and asked if any member would be interested 
in his art. Here are a couple examples of his work. If you are 
interested please contact Roger directly at may_roger at hotmail.co.uk
