Dear Members,

Thank you to all those that attended last Friday's demonstration. It was
well attended and I have had some good feedback. He gave us some
excellent tips including the use of home made bags using basmati rice
and velvet for the use of Pounce powders!. We will try and get him back
later in the year for a portrait demonstration.

Here is a list of materials that he used:

Materials list for life drawing

- Generals charcoal pencils (the orange ones)
2B great, 4B good, 6B - a bit soft and dark but still useful.

(Other versions are available)

- Eraser - 2.3mm Tombow retractable eraser
- Blenders - a small soft brush, a Synthetic watercolour filbert is
ideal. Also generic paper blending stumps.
- Paper - Seawhite of Brighton newsprint pads, I keep one of each size
on the go A3 & A4.
- Sharpener - currently using Helix A5 metal desktop sharpener. Very
good, but declines in performance with age and heavy use.

Kind Regards,

Paul
