Dear Members,

*A reminder for our next art Art Matters this Friday 24th June 7pm*.

This will be the last meeting until September 16th. We are going to try
a bit of an experiment. Inspired by the online portrait sessions many
take part in we though we would try Plein Air painting/Urban Sketching
without leaving your arm chair. So dig out your chosen Art materials and
enjoy drawing some of the beautiful trees in the local area. All without
worrying about insects, whether it is about to rain, avoiding chatty
passers by, whether anyone is watching you, whether you left the brushes
behind or where the loos are. Oh and there is no problem having a glass
of wine at the same time either. It may work, It may not but all welcome.

*The Big Draw*

You may be aware of this annual event but Deborah says that she would
recommend joining the mailing list https://thebigdraw.org she has been
able to join a number of free and low cost Art events - both online and
face to face - well worth a look.

*J**uly 1st Friday event.  Live demonstration 7pm at Ripley Art Centre.
*/Please note that there will be no August 1st Friday event. /
**

Members and members guests* are invited to our live demonstration and
chat and Ripley.  Peter Daziel will be demonstrating "Animals in
Watercolour". Peter's interest commenced seriously whilst he was living
and working in Africa between 1978 and 82. Living and working in
Southern Africa also gave him an interest in wildlife, hence began his
studies of animals and birds from various countries.

along. You are most welcome to bring along a guest but we do ask they
contribute a *£5.00 donation.
