[BAS Newsletter] Beckenham Place Park Art Show 1 August 2021

Dear All 

The purpose of this email is to invite Bromley Art Society Members to apply to join the annual Beckenham Place Park Art Exhibition. 

The plan is to hold a one day Art Exhibition across 3 rooms in the mansion alongside the Beckenham Place Park Show on Sunday 1 August this year and a parallel on-line exhibition for approximately 1 month. As in previous years profits from the show will support activities in the park and in the past have included support for children’s Art activities and the purchase of a beehive.

Many of you are previous exhibitors, and if you have already responded to say you are interested then there is no need to also apply to this email, you should have received the handing in details yesterday. 

We have had a very high interest from past exhibitors but there will be space for some new Artists to join us. As spaces are limited and the approval to go ahead came quite late there is a very short time to register, so if you are interested email us at  bppflowershowart at gmail.com <mailto:bppflowershowart at gmail.com> ASAP as it is possible that we may not be able to accommodate everyone. 

The theme will be Park Life - so we are looking for Art works that respond to things that we might find in parks - e.g. trees, flowers, park buildings (e.g. the Mansion), park wildlife and park landscapes,  gardens and allotments etc.

Entry fees are as follows

To hire one screen - £15

To submit one picture - £5

To take part in online exhibition only - £5

For Artists hiring a screen there is no additional fee for taking part in the online exhibition or for unframed work or greeting cards.

NB The Exhibition will take place subject to the COVID situation at the time and will conform with COVID regulations that the event will have in place. As these may change between now and 1st August please be aware that there will be changes from previous exhibitions and that instructions may need to change between now and the exhibition date.
