BAS CHRISTMAS PARTY

Our December "First Friday" on 6th December 2019 will be an art themed 
Christmas Quiz with a Christmas buffet. This has always been a very 
successful event for meeting with fellow members and having a good time. 
The buffet has acquired legendary status. There are rumours of a prize 
to be awarded, as long as we don't need the Supreme Court to adjudicate. 
More details when I have found them again,  but the date, venue and fun 
are all booked.

It would be lovely to have more members joining us. Tickets will be 
available soon at all our events.


SUBSCRIPTIONS

The end of our BAS year is in sight, and we are preparing for the next 
one.  We shall shortly be asking you to renew your subscription. Maggie 
Ward, our membership secretary, will be collecting subscriptions from 
our November meetings onwards. It would be really helpful if you did 
this as soon as possible and if Maggie does not have to hunt people down 
in the New Year to get their subscriptions. We have had to raise the 
price for next year to £35.00. The money goes towards our admin costs 
and the website, the exhibitions, our display screens and our Wednesday 
and Friday meetings, so that all our members benefit. Please make it 
easy for her.


GENIUS SUGGESTION

Why not buy your Christmas Party ticket and renew your subscription at 
the same time? Saves work for you and us.

PAUL TYMKOW EXHIBITION

I will be holding a solo exhibition at Ripley Arts Centre from 8th 
October to 8th November. It is titled 'Places, Real and Imagined' and is 
an exhibition of paintings in watercolour and ink. The details are on 
the Bromley Arts Council website at: www.bromleyarts.com under 'Upcoming 
Exhibitions and World Cinema'. The exhibition will be in the Dining Room.

I would appreciate it if you could circulate to BAC members to help 
publicise this exhibition, and to extend an invitation to any members 
who would like to attend the preview/open evening on 8th October, 7-9pm.

Please note that in common with many exhibitions at Ripley, after the 
preview/open evening it is only open on weekdays at selected times, so 
anyone wanting to attend would have to phone 020 8464 5816 to check the 
viewing times on specific dates.

I hope to see some BAS members at the preview evening.
