Pastel on velour workshop 18th September St George's Church
Hall, Bickley

Following the success of our watercolour workshop provided by
Nishad Karim we are planning a second workshop in September if
people are interested.

This workshop will be conducted by Lee Moore who has excellent
experience of teaching art within her own classes. Lee will be
showing one of her favourite techniques of how to create an animal
portrait using pastels on velour. Materials will be provided.

The workshop will commence at 10am on Wednesday the 18th
September and finish around 3.30 with a lunch break in between.

The cost will be £25.00 per person. Regular attendees of the
Wednesday Art Session's, who have already contributed for the hire
of the hall, need only pay £20 per person.

The workshop is open to all members and friends of members.

We need around 20 - 24 people to attend to make the workshop
viable so please let me know if you are interested a.s.a.p but
no later than Tuesday 10th September.

Future Exhibitions

Following the success of our St George's Church exhibition where
over £2500 of artwork was sold we now have an experienced
exhibition sub-committee who are working hard to find suitable
venues for exhibitions going forward. If you know of any venues,
within Bromley and neighbouring boroughs suitable for exhibiting
please let us know by contacting bromleyartsocietyevents@gmail.com.
The exhibition sub-committee will follow up and review all venues
for suitability.

Online Art Matters

Numbers has declined recently but if you are interested in seeing
this continued please let me know. We normally hold an online
discussion / art challenge, once a month, on a Friday evening
7pm-8pm. We probably need around 10 people to attend Art Matters
regularly to keep them worthwhile. Please let me know at membership@bromleyartsociety.org.uk.
If enough people are interested our next Art Matters will be
Friday 20th September on the theme of "Summer 24".

November and December's 1st Friday events at the Daylight
Inn.

We have the room booked but at the moment we do not have anything
planned for 1st November or 6th December at the Daylight Inn. If
you have any ideas particularly for the December Christmas event
please let me know at membership@bromleyartsociety.org.uk

Kind regards,
