Dear Members,
*November's 1st Friday Demonstration - This Friday 3rd November at the
Daylight Inn 7pm - 9.30pm.*
This Friday's demonstration at the Daylight Inn will be provided by one
of our own members Colin Barnett. Many of you may have seen his amazing
pictures of celebrity portraits and detailed animal life during our
exhibitions.
Colin has put together a unique evening demonstrating the work and
techniques that goes into producing his popular artwork. In particular
people have expressed interest in how he goes about creating the amazing
graded charcoal pieces. Additionally there will be a fun competition
for people to get involved with during the evening so one not to be
missed. Below is a reminderof some of his very popular artwork from the
recent Glades exhibition.
Members are welcome to bring guests for £6.00 at the door.
*Proposed December's Christmas event - please let us know if you would
like to attend by emailing me at **membership at bromleyartsociety.org.uk
**by Friday 17th November.
*
This year we propose to have our Bromley Art Society annual Christmas
event again at the Daylight Inn on Friday 1st December 7pm. We are
proposing to get members involved in an fun collective art creation with
a Christmas theme to get the evening going. Afterwards we aim to have a
buffet where we can socialise with other members of the society and guests.
To cover the cost of the buffet and to gauge interest in putting this
together we propose to charge £5.00 per person (and £6.00 for guests).
We are looking for a minimum of 30 people before we proceed. *So if you
are interested in attending and would like us to organise this event for
you please email me at membership at bromleyartsociety.org.uk*
*January, February and March 2024.
*
During the colder, wetter months we will take a break from live talks
and demonstrations and look to provide them online as many members
appreciate socialising and attending talks and demo's from the comfort
of their own home. More information to follow.
Hope to see you on Friday and again on the 1st December if it goes
forward. Use your society or lose it!
Kind Regards,
Paul
