Dear Members,

It is with sad regret that I announce the death of Graham Tait. Graham
was a lovely, kind and generous man and a good friend of Bromley Art
Society, serving on the committee and always willing to help out with
exhibitions. I, as many, knew him fondly from meetings, the Wednesday
sessions and exhibitions. Graham was an excellent engraver and etcher
and exhibited wonderful prints of his work and always willing to share
his knowledge with others.

I had chance to speak to Graham last September when he first became
terminally ill.  On behalf of Bromley Art Society I thanked him for his
great contribution to the Society. At that time he asked me not to pass
on the news of his ill health and wanted it to be kept quiet from the
Society. Never the less we sent him a thank you card and in it wrote "I
am sure I speak on behalf of, Adrian our chairman, the committee,
society members and the Wednesday people. A huge thank you for all your
hard work and support you have given to Bromley Art Society. I know that
members are very grateful for your many contributions and guidance you
have provided over the years". ..He will be sadly missed.

Graham died he died on 7th February and a service of Thanksgiving and
Internment of Ashes will be held at St. Mary the Virgin, Hayes on Friday
4th March at 12 midday. I have just spoken to his wife, Faith, and
passed on our condolences. I will represent Bromley Art Society on that
occasion but others are most welcome to attend. It will be followed by
tea and biscuits.

I will speaking to Faith and Daughter Alison and Son Graham nearer the
time so if you wish to attend please let me know.

Kind regards,

Paul
