few new members to the society and I would particularly like to welcome
them tonight if they wish to join us. The details once again are

We had a very successful exhibition online and in person at Beckenham
Place Park recently. Congratulations to Deborah for organising it and
all those who helped her. The sales desk was apparently quite hectic -
congratulations to all those who sold works too. And congratulations to
all those who took part. It was a very attractive exhibition which
demonstrated the wide variety of styles, media and subjects that our
members pursue.
Deborah writes
/41 Artists took part, many of them BAS members - or have joined
since. Some took part on the website only - still open here
//www.bppartshow.com <http://www.bppartshow.com>/
/Very popular on the day with a steady stream of visitors and even a
queue to get in!/
/I paid 26 Artists for sales /
/We raised over £400 for the park and we will share what the money
will be spent on shortly. /
/Thanks to everyone who helped make the day the success it was.
/
Thanks also to Katie who has been managing our social media
representation. There is a video of the BPP exhibition on our Insta feed at

You do not need an account to view it. We are always grateful if members
with social media accounts could "like" or "share" posts, depending on
platform, follow us and our stories and generally help increase our
presence. It helps increase our membership and our exhibition visitor
numbers.

Your committee has met this week. We have two more "First Friday" demos
and a Christmas event this year as well as some "Art Matters" meetings
on other Fridays. As Covid case numbers are rising once again we have
decided now that all those will be online only. The Christmas event will
include some "homework" for members - details nearer the time.
The Wednesday studio sessions at Ripley will continue for the time
being, but masks must be worn, please. We anticipate that the need for
ventilation in colder weather and the rising case numbers might require
some changes to session timing and number of attendees. As always Paul
will keep an eye on this for us.
We are hoping to have some autumnal outdoors sketching sessions soon.
Watch this space.
