[BAS Newsletter] Bromley Cultural Day *** THIS SATURDAY *** 9th October

Hi All

This Saturday Afternoon(9th October) there will be a Bromley Cultural 
Day taking place in and around the Central Library and we will be there 
to publicise the Society's activities.

  * Please come along and support the day - it would be great to see you
    face to face after so many months of zoom! It also shows to the
    organisers that Bromley is interested in Culture
  * We could do with some volunteers to spend an hour or two manning the
    stall and talking to people about the society. Someone from the
    committee will be there so you wouldn't be alone. It should be a fun
    day and the weather forecast  is not bad at all. If you can help
    please email me.
  * We would like to be able to showcase the work that we do - space is
    limited but if you are interested in showing a piece of work or a
    few cards then please let me know, especially if they come from one
    of our activities - e.g. Art Matters, Crit evenings, the Wednesday
    group or the competitions. Again please email me if you are interested.


The event is being organised at very short notice and is happening as 
part of a process of the Council applying for funding from the GLA to 
revitalise Bromley High Street (the pedestrianised stretch), with an 
emphasis on culture. We will be there with a stall to publicise the 
activities of the Society as this really wasn't something we wanted to 
miss.

Other groups taking part include Bromley's theatres and a Dance group, 
the market is also on, so if urban sketching or people drawing is your 
thing this could be a great opportunity.
