I am happy to give you notice of 2 definite and 1 probable exhibition
for this year. Thanks to Deborah for the information - and the hard work
behind the scenes. She usually needs people to help set up and take
down exhibitions, and stewarding for some. We are very lucky to have
her, so please be ready to lend a hand!
Some people find some emails hard to read, so I am going to send the
entry form and instructions for the BAS Spring exhibition at Ripley in a
separate email.
Time to get painting!

Ripley 2020
=========
Our Annual Spring Exhibition is coming soon: Handing in 23rd March, take
down 4th May. The Exhibition itself will run from 24th March - 1st May
with a private view on the 30th March. We hope to see as many
exhibitions as possible - new and old and to see you all at the private
view.
Entry form and Artists Instructions will follow in another email. Any
questions please contact basexhibitions at gmail.com.
Beckenham Place Park Flower Show
==============================
This is the annual 1 day exhibition that is themed to run alongside the
Beckenham Place Park Flower Show. This year this will take place on
Sunday 19th July.
It is not necessary to be a member of the society to take part - though
many members do. If you took part before or have expressed an interest
you should recently have received an email. If not please email
bppflowershowart at gmail.com to express an interest and find out more.
From discussions on Friday it seems not everyone is sure where it is -
this is the website for the mansion (where we will be exhibiting)
https://www.beckenhamplace.org. But there is also an extensive park,
formal gardens, a new cafe in the stable block and even the wild
swimming lake. Beckenham Hill and Beckenham Junction + the 54 bus are
the most convenient for public transport.
Hall Place
========
We are considering exhibiting in the recently renovated stable block
gallery at Hall Place in Bexley this summer. This will be a more
expensive exhibition than usual (IRO £10 - £12 per painting) but will
mean that your art will be seen by a very much larger audience than
usual. The exhibition if it takes place will run for around a month,
probably in August and stewarding will not be required. If you don't
know it the website is here https://www.hallplace.org.uk. If anyone has
any comments on this opportunity then please contact us on
basexhibitions at gmail.com.
Publicity
=======
We are just about to launch some new flyers for the Society and the
Wednesday Group. These will be displayed in Ripley, at our exhibitions
and on our website etc. If you are in a position to use these to
publicise the society yourself - e.g. at your own classes/exhibitions
etc. please let us know.
