I should like to remind you of two events happening in the run up to
Christmas. There is something boring about sending reminders for
anything but it's a busy time and we need you to help by submitting /
booking ASAP.

*Members' Art Exhibition, St Andrews, Burnt Ash Lane 30th Nov - 1st Dec*

Closing date for submissions is 25th November - so there is still time
for you to join us! You should have had entry forms and instructions
about 3 weeks ago.

The publicity campaign is underway and Deborah has some additional
flyers if anyone is able to share them. A preview of the publicity
design is on the website and our Facebook page.

Works by exhibiting artists are being shared via Facebook so thanks to
those who shared some images and Emily for posting them.

And if anyone needs help just email Deborah <basexhibitions at gmail.com>

*Christmas Party*
*
*
Friday 6th December 7.30 for 8 pm at Ripley.

Our Christmas party is a jolly affair with a buffet that has reached
legendary status. No demonstrations, no talks, no events  to get in the
way of a good chat with fellow artists - Other than a quiz of course.
Some of you will have realised by now that I don't have a good memory
for names. When I am pontificating from the front on a Friday I don't
always get a chance to really get to know members and I am looking
forward to doing so.

/This is a ticketed event! /We need to know the numbers for catering
purposes so please contact Maggie Ward <maggiebas18 at gmail.com>  or find
her at Ripley on a Wednesday.

"Bringing Artists together since 1947" is our slogan, so please join in
both of these.

*Looking Ahead - *which sounds so much more promising!***

We have put our AGM back to the March meeting next year, mainly to make
life easier for our Hon Treasurer.  At that time we shall need some more
help for the committee. I know we make it look effortless - oh well we
try to - but actually the committee works hard. We try to have fun along
the way and it can be interesting or creative. Fancy joining us? We
shall know which roles we need to fill soon. The committee meets about 6
times a year to eat biscuits and do whatever needs to be done.

Apart from the committee itself, we need members to help with hanging
and generally managing exhibitions. We recently asked for more people to
help with the teas and washing up on Fridays and I would like to see
that continue. Also, if you have a skill that might help us, let us know!
