As you will be aware on Sunday 30th June Beckenham Place Park will host
its 2nd Flower Show – see links below.

Following on from the success of last year we are planning to hold
another Art Exhibition alongside this event displaying work with a
floral theme. This is a one day exhibition with set up and take down on
the day. All work should be 2 dimensional and for sale. We are
considering whether to expand the exhibition to include 3 dimensional
work/craft so long as it is of a floral nature – if you would like to be
considered for this please contact us ASAP. We would welcome help with
stewarding and the set up and take-down but we are not planning for this
to be a requirement for entry.
There will be a charge to cover the cost of mounting the exhibition.
This will be around £10-15 per screen and £3-5 per picture. Commission
of 10% will be taken on sales and will go to support projects in the
park. You will have the opportunity to request more than one screen or
to exhibit individual works. Screens have 1m wide by 1.5m high hanging
space.
Entry will be subject to selection based on subject matter. To move to
the next stage Artists should submit at least two images of floral work
they plan to exhibit or of equivalent examples if work is in progress.
This should be sent to bppflowershowart at gmail.com by Friday 24 May –
earlier if possible. Images can be digital files or links to websites
etc. as preferred.
An early indication of your intention to take part would be very much
appreciated. If you have already responded there is no need to reply
again. Please also indicate if you are planning to request a screen or
to submit individual works.
The Organisers will contact successful candidates once work has been
reviewed or at the latest by the Sunday 2 June provided work is
submitted before 24 May. We are intending to hold some interim
evaluations so if you can provide the images earlier then we can confirm
acceptance earlier.
We are in the process of finalising the details of the exhibition
process but please note the following:
EXHIBITION TIMETABLE
Artists to submit images - Friday 24 May
Acceptance confirmed - Sunday 2 June
Return of handing in forms - Friday 14 June
Hanging of work - Sunday 30 June, 8.30am-10.30am
Exhibition open - Sunday 30 June, 12-7pm
Collection of work - Sunday 30 June, 7-8pm
Collection of work 2 - Monday 1 July, 9-10am
NB due to an event in the park/mansion the day before the Flower Show
there will be no access to hang or deliver work before 30th June. If you
are unable to make the times please make arrangements with
family/friends to do this on your behalf. Also please be aware that due
to works going on in the park a) there will be no parking on-site –
access will be to drop off or collect work only b) the event itself will
only allow parking within the park to blue badge holders c) the
arrangements are as we understand them at the moment but may be subject
to alteration nearer to the time. We will let you know as soon as we
know but if you have an questions please ask.
Detailed instructions will be sent on acceptance.
