Following the AGM yesterday, I am pleased to announce the first
initiative from our new social media co-ordinator, Emily Brand. At her
request this is not a formal committee role, but it is nevertheless an
important one. Emily will handle some channels herself and she will have
help with other channels - watch this space. Emily's offer is open to
all, but particularly to those, like me, who don't want to have their
own social media accounts.

She will provide a stream of BAS related activity at weekly intervals or
thereabouts. To maintain the flow she would like all interested members
to provide copy that she can send out when she needs something. She
suggests a short bio about yourself and your work, accompanied by 3 - 5
pictures. Please email it to her at

emily at emilybrandart.co.uk

with "For BAS" in the subject line so that she does not ignore it. If
you have your own social media accounts and want to include the handles,
please do so, but this will also work for those who have no social media
access.

Thank you Emily!

The other important piece of news from last night is the award of our
Pat Tucker cup to:

Deborah Masters and Jules Pew jointly

- for their stunning achievements with the Exhibitions last year,
particularly the 6 weeks Glades one, and their promise to do the same
this year !

The latter was conditional on there being more help, so please be ready
to roll up your sleeves when asked. Congratulations to you both.

I will send notes on the demonstration later.
